Welcome!

This is a tool that I built to experiment with different backpacking configurations, I hope that it may be useful for others as well. In addition to letting you see total pack weight/volume, this tool also lets you experiment with gear you do not own and lets you see the cost of a new configuration (as well as the difference in weight/volume).

Note: This is best viewed on a laptop/desktop, and all data is stored locally on your browser. This means your data will only be present on the browser you use to access this tool. In the future I may look into adding accounts so that you can save data across devices.

Instructions:

1. Add your gear (tip: add backpacks as negative volume to see volume left over)
2. Select a configuration
3. Set a baseline
4. Experiment with different configurations to see the difference
